Types of Projects

Caledonia High School

Fabricated and erected in 2002 and 2003, this beautiful new high school contains 540 tons of structural steel. The building was designed with numerous sweeps and curves, and structural steel was utilized in many of these applications. The Media Center roof contains seven architecturally exposed structural steel trusses approximately 100 feet long. They feature rolled WT chords and angle web members. The Cafeteria features numerous horizontally curved architecturally exposed structural steel trusses that frame together to produce the desired architectural look. They range in length from 18 to 63 feet long.

 

New Metropolitan Hospital

Fabricated and erected in late 2003 and early 2004, the Metropolitan Hospital project included 2400 tons of structural steel for the main building shell and 100 tons of miscellaneous steel stairs, all fabricated by Steel Supply and Engineering. The project was shipped and erected over a 16 week time frame, meeting the needs of the aggressive schedule.

 

Meijer

Over the past three years, Steel Supply and Engineering has fabricated, delivered, and erected 18 new Meijer retail stores in four Midwest states. These new stores, plus numerous additions, have totaled over 4 million square feet of construction.
